Date: April 26th, 2008

Hello, lovelies!

I'm unveiling my latest theater-related project, a British farce I'm in called "See How They Run" showing at the Gainesville Community Playhouse. Hopefully I'm giving nearby out-of-towners enough notice to come see the show, and plenty of time for my far-flung-friends to send me wishes for broken legs :)

Where:
GCP is located on NW 16th Blvd just east of NW 43rd Street, adjacent to the Publix Millhopper shopping plaza (4039 NW 16th Blvd - the box office phone number is (352) 376-4949).

What:
Galloping in and out of the four doors of an English vicarage are an American actor, a former actress, her husband the local vicar, a cockney maid who has seen too many American movies, an old maid who "touches alcohol for the first time in her life," and four men in clergyman suits. Come join the fun and "see how" these characters "run" through this topsy-turvy melee as they attempt to discover which of the four vicars is actually an escaped spy. "So swift is the action, so involved the situations, so rib tickling the plot" you'll be left breathless from this quintessential English farce.

It's a phenomenal cast being used well and to full capacity by a talented director who specializes in farces. Come see the show! It promises to be a real hoot (I play the old maid, hehehehe).

When:
May 16th through June 1st, Wednesdays through Saturdays 8pm curtain, Sunday matinees at 2pm. There is a $5 preview show on Thursday May 15th, curtain is at 8pm (it's general admission, and first come first served - there are no advance ticket sales for this one show).

Tickets are available at the door the evening of shows or in advance at Omni Books, $15 a person (I'm not sure, but there might be a $2 discount for students and seniors. Just don't quote me on that - you'll have to ask to be sure!). If you're going to buy tickets at the door, I recommend arriving early as good seats get taken quickly. Box office opens 1 hr before curtain, house opens 30 minutes before curtain.

Blessing and love to all!

xoxo

The She-News Updates announcement list will keep you up to date on Samara's latest antics, as well as the occasional site updates. Theatre and art events in and around the Gainesville, Florida area, charity events organized by Samara and other random tidbits about her artistic endeavors will help to enrich your life beyond even the wildest imagination of an Infamous Humpback Stoat of Dubious Magical Origin. But only a little bit, because Samara really doesn't send these things out that often. I'm sorry, you'll just have to be satisfied with that.
